This dish, incredible in its taste, is prepared not only in all restaurants in Lithuania, but also in every Lithuanian family, where the hostess is fond of cooking and loves to pamper her loved ones with delicious.
It is necessary
- • Halibut (fillet) - 600 g;
- • Dry Provencal herbs;
- • Fine sea salt;
- • Potatoes - 600 g;
- • Onions (white or blue) - 400 g;
- • Carrots - 200 g;
- • Fresh champignons - 600 g;
- • Olive oil;
- • Highly carbonated water - 50 g;
- • Cheese - 100 g;
- • Sour cream - 50 g;
- • Milk - 100 g;
- • Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash and dry the boneless halibut fillet on the skin. Rub the halibut with iodized finely ground salt and fragrant Provencal herbs. Leave it to marinate for half an hour.
Step 2
During the time that halibut is pickled, you should prepare all the necessary vegetables. Wash the potatoes and boil them without peeling them off. Cool and cut into thin slices. Fold in the bowl allotted for it, closing the lid tightly to the surface so that the potatoes do not get weathery.
Step 3
Peel the husks from the onions. Wash it and cut into thin, almost transparent half rings. Place them in a bowl. Rinse the carrots. Remove the top skin layer from it and grate as coarsely as possible or cut into very thin strips. Fold into a bowl.
Step 4
Wash the champignons in salted water and remove the remaining impurities. Cut the mushrooms into slices and place in a bowl. Salt them lightly.
Step 5
Pour a mixture of highly carbonated mineral water and olive oil into the bottom of the ceramic baking sheet.
Step 6
Arrange the layers of food in the following order:
• potatoes;
• carrot;
• pickled halibut fillet;
• Champignon;
• onion.
Step 7
Pour everything with milk-cheese sauce made with a blender from a mixture of milk, sour cream, grated cheese and eggs.
Step 8
Put a baking sheet with the prepared dish in an oven well heated to 200 degrees. Bake fish for 55 minutes. The readiness of the fish is determined by the change in color of the dish - it will turn pinkish-brownish.
