Kozinak is a delicious and very healthy oriental delicacy made from natural products, the dream of any sweet tooth.
It is necessary
- 0.5 kg. nuts or seeds (you can take peanuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, hazelnuts, almonds, pecans, cashews, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds or sesame seeds, or mix them in any combination)
- 0.3 kg honey
- 0.2 kg sugar
- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of lemon juice
- vanillin - to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Chop the nuts. You can leave it intact - if you like it that way. Heat in a hot skillet, no oil added, for 5-10 minutes.
Step 2
Combine the honey and sugar, place the mixture over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring all the time.
Step 3
Then cool the mixture and bring to a boil again. Repeat this a third time.
Step 4
After the thickened syrup boils for the third time, add the nuts and cook for about 10 minutes. Add lemon juice, vanillin 2-3 minutes before cooking.
Step 5
Put the hot mixture in a thin layer in a greased pan. Without waiting for it to cool completely, cut the kozinak with a knife into squares or strips.
Step 6
Break the frozen kozinak along the cut lines. And the treat is ready!
