Instructions

Step 1

Marinate the shank in a plastic bag and leave in the refrigerator overnight. Before putting the shank in the bag, coat it with spices. Take four large cloves of garlic and squeeze them into a cup. Then cut the pulp out of the lime half and add it to the garlic. Pour two tablespoons of honey into the same cup. Salt the mixture, mix with three tablespoons of soy sauce. You can add spices - coriander, mint, thyme.

Mix the ingredients well and coat the meat with the resulting "gruel". Place the shank in a plastic bag and leave to marinate overnight. The next day, remove from the bag, wrap in foil and bake in the oven for an hour and a half.

Coat the shank with mustard, leave in the refrigerator overnight. The next day, put in a cauldron, fill with beer. Close the cauldron, put in the oven and simmer in beer for 1, 5 - 2 hours.

Take a pork knuckle about 1.5 kg, put it in a saucepan. Pour water over the meat, salt, add bay leaf, whole onion, coarsely chopped carrots. Bring to a boil, remove the foam with a slotted spoon. After boiling, reduce heat and cook for two hours. Then remove the pan from the heat and let it sit in the broth overnight.

Combine beer, honey and mustard in a cup. Heat the sauce slightly. Transfer the cooked shank to a frying pan, cut the skin, rub with caraway seeds, ground paprika, pour the sauce over the meat. Put the bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees, bake for 1, 5-2 hours - watch for the formation of a golden brown crust. Remember to pour the sauce over the shank every 10-15 minutes. Put the finished shank on a dish, let cool slightly, then serve, cut into slices.
