Fried chicken is very tasty, but if you eat it all the time, then even this tasty dish will get bored with time. Add variety with this unusual marinade made from orange juice, soy sauce and honey. After marinating, the bird can be fried in a pan, but it is better on charcoal or baked in the oven, since in this case a beautiful glossy crust forms on the pieces.
It is necessary
- - one chicken (approximately 1, 2 kg);
- - juice from two oranges;
- - one whole orange;
- - three cloves of garlic;
- - one onion;
- - 1 tbsp. soy sauce;
- - 1 tsp natural honey;
- - 2 tbsp. olive oil;
- - 150 g of champignons;
- - a quarter glass of good white wine;
- - two things of a carnation;
- - salt, black pepper - to taste;
- - half a teaspoon of Asian cuisine seasoning (optional)
Instructions
Step 1
Chop the onion finely and fry it until golden brown over low heat. While the onion is fried, finely chop the mushrooms (as for julienne).
Step 2
Put the mushrooms to the onion, stir, add heat and fry until tender. Do not use a cover! Once the mushrooms are ready, transfer them to the bowl in which the marinade will be prepared.
Step 3
Peel the garlic, crush with a knife and chop very finely. Place with mushrooms.
Step 4
Add orange juice, honey, wine and soy sauce and mix thoroughly.
Step 5
Peel the orange, cut it quite finely and put it in a bowl with the marinade in the same way. Don't forget to remove the seeds!
Step 6
Crush the cloves with a knife and add to the marinade. Mix everything thoroughly, salt and pepper, add seasoning and mix again. Refrigerate.
Step 7
Prepare the chicken for marinating: wash, drain, cut into portions. If you are used to removing the skin, remove it.
Step 8
Place the chicken pieces in the marinade, mix well and refrigerate for a few hours to marinate. The minimum time for this process is 2 hours, but the best option is 12 hours. The temperature at which the meat should be in the refrigerator at this time is from plus 2 to plus 5 degrees; this is usually the temperature on the bottom shelf.
Step 9
After marinating, you can cook the meat in various ways: bake it in the oven, fry it over charcoal or a frying pan, or simply stew it. In the first two cases, you will get a beautiful crust on the chicken pieces, but when stewing you will get a good gravy if you add a few tablespoons of water. In any case, bring the dish to readiness using the method of your choice and serve immediately.
Step 10
Serve the chicken with a side dish of vegetables or vegetable salad. You can also serve rice, noodles or potatoes as a side dish, but remember that this will make the dish more nutritious. Serving any sauce with the chicken is not worth it, since it is already saturated with marinade, which gives it a pleasant aftertaste and juiciness.
