Apple strudel is a national Austrian dish. In fact, this is a roll of thinly rolled dough with a filling made from apples. Making such a dessert at home is quite simple, raisins and cinnamon will diversify the recipe, making the strudel more aromatic.
It is necessary
- For four servings:
- - 700 g of apples;
- - 500 g of puff pastry;
- - 100 g of almonds;
- - 100 g of raisins;
- - 20 ml brandy;
- - 20 g butter;
- - 2 tbsp. spoons of brown sugar;
- - 1 teaspoon of cinnamon;
- - ground crackers.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the apples, cut them into quarters and remove the cores. Cut the apples into thin slices.
Step 2
Melt butter in a skillet, put apples, sugar, brandy, simmer until the liquid evaporates over low heat.
Step 3
Scald the raisins with boiling water, mix with almonds, cinnamon. Add mass to apples.
Step 4
Defrost the puff pastry package, roll it into a rectangular shape in one direction, sprinkle with ground breadcrumbs, leaving the dough not sprinkled around the edges.
Step 5
Put the apple filling on the dough, roll into a roll, pinch the edges. Put the strudel on a baking sheet (cover it with baking paper), brush with melted butter, bake for 30-40 minutes at 200 degrees in the oven.
Step 6
Brush the finished apple strudel with raisins and cinnamon with butter, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
