It would seem that what could be simpler than a salad of ordinary fresh cucumbers? But if you supplement this component with a couple of others and season with delicious sour cream, the salad will turn out to be excellent!
It's not a shame to include such a menu even in the holiday menu! And the bright color of the finished salad cannot but rejoice, the green color contributes to a good appetite!
We need (the amount is arbitrary, depending on your taste and the desired number of servings):
- fresh cucumbers;
- feta cheese;
- apples;
- watercress;
- eggs;
- sour cream.
1. Rinse the apples, remove the cores, but it is not necessary to peel them. Apples will only add brightness to the salad.
2. Rinse cucumbers, cut into small cubes with prepared apples. You can cut the ingredients into strips as well - whichever you prefer.
3. Grate the cheese. Boil eggs in advance. Peel them, chop finely with a sharp knife and mix with feta cheese.
4. Add to feta cheese and apples with cucumbers, mix thoroughly.
5. Rinse the watercress, dry on paper towels, chop with a knife or tear with your hands into small pieces. Send to salad, stir. It remains a light cucumber salad with feta cheese and watercress, season with low-fat sour cream. This is already done just before serving.
You can prepare food in advance, put it in an airtight tray and take it with you to lunch, or prepare a salad the day before the holiday, so that later there will be less work in the kitchen.
