Thick soups are a great lunch option for a rainy or cold day. They replenish energy reserves, warm and give an opportunity to enjoy the taste. For such a dinner, the whole family will gather with pleasure, and everyone will ask for more.
It is necessary
- Ingredients for 4 persons:
- - 3 hamburger rolls;
- - 4 strips of bacon;
- - olive oil;
- - 200-250 g of ground beef;
- - 60 g butter;
- - 2 cloves of garlic;
- - 2 stalks of celery;
- - 2 carrots;
- - 1 onion;
- - a teaspoon of Worcester sauce;
- - 3 spoons of flour;
- - 600 ml of chicken broth;
- - 480 ml of milk;
- - 2 medium sized potatoes;
- - 130-150 g of grated Cheddar cheese;
- - salt and pepper to taste;
- - a few feathers of green onions for decoration.
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200C, cut the hamburger buns into neat cubes of the same size and bake for 10-15 minutes to get golden and crispy croutons.
Step 2
Cut the bacon into small pieces, squeeze the garlic, chop the onion and celery, grate the carrots on a fine grater, cut the potatoes into cubes. Fry the bacon in a frying pan without oil until crispy, transfer to a paper towel and set aside. Heat a little olive oil in a frying pan, fry the ground beef on it over medium heat until tender, stirring constantly to make it crumbly.
Step 3
Melt the butter in a thick-walled saucepan or patch over medium heat and fry the garlic, onion, celery and carrots in it with Worcestershire sauce for 2-3 minutes.
Step 4
Add flour and mix the ingredients thoroughly for a minute.
Step 5
Pour in the broth, milk and stir the vegetables for 1-2 minutes to thicken the broth. Bring the broth to a boil, add the potatoes and cook the soup for 12-15 minutes under a lid over low heat. Finally, add minced meat, cheese and salt with pepper to taste. If the soup is too thick, you can dilute it with milk to the desired consistency.
Step 6
Serve the soup immediately with croutons, bacon and chopped green onions as a decoration.
