If you love potatoes, but you are tired of the usual ways of cooking them, try baking them with garlic in the oven. The dish turns out to be very aromatic, with a crispy golden crust. It can be served either as a separate dish or as a side dish for meat or fish.

It is necessary

  • - medium-sized potatoes - 1200 g;
  • - cloves of garlic - 5 pcs.;
  • - butter - 0.5 packs (90-100 g);
  • - hard cheese - 100 g;
  • - sour cream with a fat content of 15% - 3 tbsp. l. with a slide;
  • - fresh dill - 1 bunch;
  • - ground black pepper;
  • - salt.

Instructions

Step 1

Before cooking, remove the butter from the refrigerator and melt in a water bath or microwave. Peel the garlic cloves and crush through a press or finely chop with a knife. Rinse and chop fresh dill. Grate the cheese on a medium grater.

Step 2

Now in a separate small bowl, prepare the sauce for the potatoes. To do this, pour melted butter into it, add chopped dill, cheese, garlic, sour cream and salt to taste. Mix everything thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is formed.

Step 3

Peel the potatoes and rinse under running water. If the tubers are large, cut them into slices, if small, then cut them in half.

Step 4

Turn on the oven and set the temperature to 220 degrees. Grease a baking dish with any oil and put the potatoes in it in one layer. Then sprinkle the potatoes with ground black pepper and top with the prepared garlic butter sauce.

Step 5

Send the form with the preparation to the preheated oven and bake until the potatoes are fully cooked. The baking time depends on the type of vegetables. As a rule, this takes an average of 40-50 minutes.

Step 6

Remove the finished potatoes from the oven and transfer to a dish. Serve it with a fresh salad or add it to a meat meal.
