    • a sprig of oregano;
    • garlic.

Instructions

Step 1

Wash the fish, peel it off, cut off the heads, tails, fins. Remove the guts and all bones. Dry the fillets and cut into small pieces, measuring 1, 5-2 by 5 cm.

Make a marinade using the juice of one lemon and 3 tablespoons of water. Add Worcestershire sauce and salt to taste. Stir well and soak the fish for one hour.

Step 3

To make the dish more interesting, add pieces of seafood (peeled shrimp, cuttlefish), vegetables (carrots, zucchini, cauliflower, potatoes), mushrooms to the fish. Note that all vegetables must be raw, and cuttlefish can be blanched a little.

Add a pinch of cayenne pepper, a tablespoon of mustard, a spoonful of vinegar and sugar to the soy sauce. Finely chop 3 cloves of garlic and a couple of oregano sprigs, also add to the sauce. Stir well, beat until smooth and pour into a gravy boat.

Prepare a fondue pot. Rub the walls with a clove of garlic, leave a couple of cloves on the bottom. Pour olive or other vegetable oil into a saucepan, light a fire in a burner. Since the temperature of the boiling oil is quite high, only metal fondue can be used to prepare fish fondue, ceramic and earthenware will not work.

Bring the oil to a boil, thanks to the special thermo-accumulating bottom, the fondue pot will maintain the required temperature even after the burner is turned off. You can use broths instead of oil for fondue.

Step 7

When everything is ready, place the fondue in the center of the table, invite guests or family members. Chop pieces of fish, seafood and vegetables into long forks (it is better to use special forks for fondue, with a long handle) and dip in boiling oil or broth.

Keep the slices in a saucepan for one to two minutes, until they turn white. After that, dip them in the sauce and help yourself.
