Sour cream is not only an additive, it itself may well be the main ingredient in a simple or complex dish. Use it to make a delicious jelly, a simple but delicious cake, or make a thick dip for crispy chips, vegetables, shrimp, etc.

- 100 g of white sugar;
- 25 g of gelatin.
- fresh berries or nuts for decoration.
Soak the gelatin in a quarter glass of water for half an hour until it swells, then heat with constant stirring, but do not boil. Leave the mixture to cool. Pour the jelly into bowls or glasses and refrigerate to solidify. Garnish with crushed nuts or whole berries.
Sour cream
Ingredients:
- 600 g of 25% sour cream;
- 3 chicken eggs;
- 250 g flour;
- 2 tbsp. white sugar;
- 1/2 tsp vanilla sugar;
- 2/3 tsp soda;
- vegetable oil;
- 40 g milk chocolate.
Mash eggs with half a serving of sugar until smooth, add 250 g of sour cream, baking soda and vanilla sugar. Add flour in small portions and mix thoroughly with a spatula or spoon so that there are no lumps. Spread vegetable oil on a round baking dish with a cooking brush and pour the dough into it. Bake it at 180oC for 40-50 minutes. Without opening the oven at this time for at least the first half hour, watch what is happening inside through the glass. Check the readiness of the biscuit by piercing it with a toothpick, it should come out completely dry.
Make an airy cream from the remains of sour cream and sugar, beat them with a mixer until fluffy. Cool the biscuit, carefully cut it lengthwise with a sharp knife into two or three circles of equal thickness. Spread a sour cream layer over them, collecting the cake on a round dish with a flat bottom. Sprinkle the top with grated chocolate and refrigerate the dessert for a few hours, preferably overnight.
