Lavash rolls with chicken prepared according to this recipe are very tasty. The outer layer is baked into a thin, crispy shell that smells like meat. Inside, there is a creamy, spicy, juicy filling with soft pieces of chicken.

It is necessary

  • - vegetable oil for frying - 3 tablespoons;
  • - butter - 40 g;
  • - pepper;
  • - salt - 1 tsp;
  • - boles or water - 0.5 cups;
  • - flour - 2 tablespoons;
  • - sour cream 20% - 250 g;
  • - medium onions - 2 pcs;
  • - large chicken breast - 700 g;
  • - thin pita bread (70x50 cm) - 2 pcs.

Instructions

Step 1

Chop the onion finely. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, add onion and stir. Reduce heat to low. Saute the onions, stirring occasionally, until they are translucent and soft.

Prepare the chicken while the onions are sautéing. Cut out the bones and skin from the chicken breast. Cut the meat into small sticks or cubes.

Place the chicken chunks with the sautéed onions in the skillet. Increase heat to maximum. Fry, stirring occasionally, until the pieces are white. Add flour, stir.

Pour in boiling broth or water and add sour cream. Sprinkle in pepper and salt. Stir to distribute the sour cream evenly. Reduce heat to low again. Cover the pan tightly and simmer the chicken for 10 minutes.

Then leave it to cool until warm. The cooled mass should thicken slightly. Spread the pita bread on the table. Cut it into 2 pieces lengthwise. Cut off the thickened edges. You will end up with two long ribbons.

Place a tablespoon of chicken and sauce on the edge of the ribbon. Wrap the tight roll 2 turns. Cut the resulting roll from the tape. At the roll, tuck the edges of the pita bread inward.

Form many more rolls in the same way, using all the prepared filling. For the created amount of filling, you will need about 2 sheets of pita bread. Place the finished rolls tightly on a greased baking sheet.

Melt the butter and brush the rolls well. Preheat oven to high and place a baking sheet inside it for 10 minutes. The products should be browned on top, but remain soft. After baking, pita rolls with chicken in sour cream sauce can be served with cold milk or kefir.
