It is necessary

  • - 700 g minced meat (best beef / pork);
  • - 1/3 cup rice;
  • - 1/3 cup milk;
  • - a slice of white bread or rolls;
  • - 2 raw chicken eggs;
  • - 2 onions;
  • - 1 large carrot;
  • - 5-7 tablespoons of tomato sauce;
  • - salt, spices to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

To prepare minced meat, a few simple steps are required. Rinse the rice, boil until half cooked (this is about 10 minutes), cool. Grate one onion with the finest grater. Soak the bread in milk. Combine rice, grated onion and minced meat bread soaked in milk, add two raw eggs, salt and minced meat spices to them. Mix well.

Step 2

Chop the second onion finely. Grate or chop the carrots. These blanks are for broth. Optionally, you can also add garlic (chopped or pressed), chopped tomatoes and / or mushrooms to the broth.

Step 3

Boil enough water in a saucepan or deep frying pan to cover the meatballs completely. When the water boils, put the minced meat rolled into strong balls into it. Their sizes can be any: someone likes small "hedgehogs", someone prefers larger meatballs. When choosing a size, you can proceed from the depth of the container in which you are cooking: a saucepan allows you to sculpt large balls of minced meat, and it is easier to cook small ones in a pan.

Step 4

After the meatballs, add the onions and carrots and the sauce to the broth. Along with tomato sauce, you can add soy sauce and sour cream to your gravy to taste. Season with salt, spices and dried herbs to taste. Cook over low heat, depending on the size of the meatballs - from 30 to 50 minutes.
