- 3-4 potatoes
- 1-2 liters of water
- 1 tbsp. spoonful of sugar
- 1/2 tbsp. tablespoons of salt
- 1/2 bottle of vegetable oil

Step 1
For fries, we need large potatoes. We clean it and cut it into long cubes. It is better to do this on a special vegetable cutter, but if there is none, try to make the sticks of the same thickness as possible so that they are evenly fried.
Step 2
Preparing the marinade for our fries. Pour 1-2 liters of water into a saucepan (you will need it to soak potatoes) and add about a tablespoon of sugar and half a tablespoon of salt there. You can taste the water - it should not be salty, but not sweet either. Stir well and put the potatoes there. Leave to infuse for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Now we take the blocks out of the water and dip them with a towel. We spread the potatoes on the board. The potatoes must be laid out so that they do not stick together. And put in the freezer for an hour. This is done so that the outside of the fries is crispy and the inside remains soft.
Step 4
For frying, pour enough oil into a saucepan so that you can dip the potatoes in it. You can take a small saucepan so that less oil is consumed.
Step 5
Dip the sticks into the heated oil and fry for 6-7 minutes until golden brown.
