You can stuff a baked onion with anything, as long as it keeps its shape and is not too spicy. This recipe assumes that the onions need to be boiled so that they acquire a mild, sweetish taste. Fried minced meat with melted cheese and cream is used as minced meat. After baking, the dish turns out to be hearty, tasty and original.

It is necessary

  • - 800 grams of onions;
  • - 100 milliliters of 10-20 percent cream;
  • - 200 grams of minced meat;
  • - 50 grams of cheese;
  • - 1 processed cheese;
  • - 2 cloves of garlic;
  • - vegetable oil;
  • - pepper and salt.

Instructions

Step 1

Peel the onion.

Step 2

Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil, add onions and cook whole for about 15 minutes.

Step 3

Drain the water, cool the onion, cut each onion in half lengthwise. Pull the middle out of each half, leaving only three outer layers. Chop 1/3 of the removed onion finely.

Chop the garlic very finely. Cut the processed cheese into pieces or grate.

Heat vegetable oil, put garlic and onion in a pan, fry for about 5 minutes.

Add the minced meat and cook for about 15 minutes more, crushing it constantly with a spatula to cook evenly. Season with pepper and salt.

Pour cream into the minced meat, put melted cheese, stir.

Simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes. As a result, the sauce should become thick, the minced meat is soft, the melted cheese should dissolve.

Cut the cheese into slices. Place the prepared onion on a baking sheet.

Stuff each half with a small heap of filling.

Place one slice of cheese on top.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees, bake for 30 minutes.
