Probably, any person who has tried lasagna at least once could not remain indifferent to it. This amazingly tasty and aromatic Italian dish, of course, does not cook very quickly, but it is undoubtedly worth the effort.

It is necessary

    • 0.8-1 kg minced pork
    • dry sheets of pastry for lasagna
    • 1 medium carrot
    • 2-3 small onions
    • a few cloves of garlic
    • 3-4 medium sized tomatoes
    • 3 rounded tablespoons of flour
    • 0.7-0.8 liters of milk
    • 300 grams of hard cheese
    • 50 grams of butter
    • 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
    • basil
    • salt
    • black pepper

Instructions

Step 1

Lasagne dough

Today, lasagna dough is much easier to buy in the supermarket in the pasta section than to prepare it yourself. The dough is most often sold in the form of rectangular sheets packed in a cardboard box.

Some manufacturers suggest making lasagne from dry sheets, but most point out the need to pre-boil the lasagne dough in boiling salted water. The exact cooking time can be found on the dough packaging. This usually takes no more than a few minutes. By the way, so that the sheets do not stick together during cooking, you can add a little vegetable oil to the water.

Step 2

Minced lasagna

Cut the onion into small cubes, grate the carrots. Fry the onions with carrots in vegetable oil, add the minced meat, salt and pepper to taste, mix everything thoroughly and leave to simmer until tender.

Scald the tomatoes with boiling water, peel them off and grate the pulp or chop it in a blender. Add chopped tomato pulp and basil to the minced meat, stir and simmer for a few more minutes.

Good quality tomato paste can be used in place of fresh tomatoes. Basil can be taken both fresh and dried.

Step 3

Bechamel for lasagna

Melt the butter in a skillet and fry the flour in it. Then reduce heat to low and gradually add small portions of milk to the flour, stirring everything thoroughly each time. Never pour all the milk into the skillet at once, as this may cause lumps to form in the sauce.

As a result, you should have a homogeneous white sauce, similar in thickness to sour cream. Salt the bechamel to taste and add garlic passed through a press to it.

Step 4

Lasagna cheese

The most delicious lasagna comes with Parmesan cheese, but any hard cheese is also acceptable for its preparation. The cheese needs to be grated on a fine grater.

Step 5

Step-by-step preparation of lasagna

Take a rectangular baking dish and brush it with a little vegetable oil. Arrange several sheets of lasagna dough so that it covers the bottom. Put 1/3 of the minced meat on the dough, brush it with sauce and sprinkle with grated cheese on top.

Cover the first layer of lasagna with sheets of dough and place the ingredients (minced meat, cheese sauce) on it in the same order.

Cover the second layer of lasagna with sheets of dough, put the remaining minced meat on it, brush it with sauce and sprinkle with cheese. Place the dough sheets on top and top with the remaining sauce over the lasagne.

Place the lasagna dish in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for half an hour. When 30 minutes have passed, take out the lasagne, sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese and place in the oven for another 5-7 minutes. During this time, the cheese will have time to cover the lasagna with an appetizing crust.
