The main principle of the recipes for Slovak desserts is lightness and simplicity, and the taste of the delicacies is not inferior to the standard Austrian ones.
It is necessary
- For dumplings:
- - 500 g of berries and fruits;
- - 1 egg;
- - 200 g of cottage cheese;
- - 500 g flour;
- - 250 ml of milk;
- - 50 g margarine.
- For dumplings:
- - 250 g feta cheese;
- - 500 g of potatoes;
- - 250 g flour;
- - 2 tablespoons of milk;
- - 100 g of smoked bacon;
- - sunflower oil;
- - sour cream (to taste);
- - greens (to taste).
- - salt (to taste);
Instructions
Step 1
Fruit dumplings
Mix the grated cottage cheese with sifted flour and margarine, add the egg. Pour milk into the flour mixture and mix thoroughly again.
Step 2
Place the curd dough on a floured board and form into a large loaf. Soak a knife in water and cut the loaf into small slices. Roll each slice into a ball.
Step 3
Make a depression in each ball, put a berry or pieces of fruit, seal. Thus, form all the slices into round dumplings.
Step 4
Place a pot of liquid on a fire. When the water boils, dip the dumplings into it, stir. Cook for no more than 8 minutes, then place on a large plate and cool.
Step 5
Serve the dumplings with berry sauce or pour with melted butter.
Step 6
Dumplings with feta cheese
Peel the potatoes, chop finely on a grater, salt and mix. Combine the potatoes with flour and knead the dough.
Step 7
Cut the smoked bacon into small pieces, fry in vegetable oil. Grind the cheese on a grater, mix with milk.
Step 8
Divide the potato dough into small portions and place on the board. After boiling water, send the dumplings to boiling water. After the dumplings float to the surface, cook them for another 3 minutes.
Step 9
Subsequently, remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and put in a bowl with feta cheese, stir thoroughly. Sprinkle with chopped herbs, top with smoked roast.
Step 10
Serve with sour cream or unsweetened yogurt.
