Life energy, in turn, depends on many factors, including what foods you eat. Some of them take energy from you, and some, on the contrary, give it to you.

It should be understood that vital energy and calorie content are completely different things. The most high-calorie foods, as a rule, are not very healthy, but those that are sources of energy are undoubtedly useful. For them in "Ayurveda" there is even a special definition, they are called "sattvic".

This category primarily includes berries, fruits and vegetables. Moreover, it does not matter at all how they are used - raw or after heat treatment, the most important thing is that they are fresh. Baked or boiled, these foods can be even healthier than raw, because they are easier to digest and the trace elements they contain are better absorbed.

Foods that provide energy include dairy products. Whole boiled milk and ghee are considered to be the most energy-intensive. In addition, energy can be obtained from wheat and products based on it: cereals from whole grains, bread made from wholemeal flour, bran, pasta made from hard varieties of this grain.

Clean water, which must be collected from natural sources, excluding its pollution with harmful impurities, will help to save energy.

The vital energy is contained in honey, which, according to Ayurveda, concentrates the energy of the sun, unrefined extra virgin olive oil, legumes: lentils, chickpeas, beans and peas.

Food that takes energy

Vampire products that take energy, which are called "tamasic", include anything that contains toxins and putrefactive bacteria. These are, for example, stale, old and fermented - pickled and salted vegetables, aged cheeses, as well as those products that are obtained as a result of someone's death - meat, fish, eggs. Ayurveda does not particularly like root crops, with the exception of carrots and beets, as well as those that grow and ripen underground: garlic, onions and mushrooms.

The main rule for saving energy is to exclude overeating so that the body does not waste its energy on processing excess products and storing them in fat reserves.

If you want to save your life energy, give up the use of refined sugar, coffee and alcohol, although they add strength, but such an energy charge very quickly ends and after it a feeling of fatigue remains. And, of course, harmful, "tamasic" products include their genetically modified ingredients, as well as all artificial additives, dyes and preservatives.
