Carp is a tasty and healthy fish that contains antioxidants that help our body not to age, and also have a beneficial effect on metabolism and digestion. Carp is a very low-calorie fish that contains easily digestible proteins, so it can be included in the diet menu. Let's prepare oven-baked carp with onions and sour cream sauce.
Carp is good because it has rather large bones that can be easily removed. This fish goes well with onions and sour cream gravy, thanks to which the carp is very tender and tasty. Onions can be used as a side dish.
To prepare this dish, you will need about 1 hour and the following ingredients:
- carp - 1 pc. (1.5 kg);
- onions - 2 pcs.;
- butter - 50 g;
- vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l.;
- pepper - to taste;
- salt to taste.
To make sour cream gravy:
- butter - 50 g;
- flour - 2 tbsp. l.;
- sour cream - 250 g.
First you need to start preparing the carp: rinse the fish well, remove all mucus and gills, and clean the scales. Make a longitudinal cut and remove the insides. Make sure that your carp is well washed and there is no blood residue inside. If you purchased a peeled carp, then you need to rinse it well and then dry it on a paper towel.
Now the carcass of your fish needs to be well salted and pepper added both outside and inside. Make 1 centimeter incisions on both sides of the carcass. Next, the carp should be left for about 20-30 minutes so that it is well saturated.
In the meantime, prepare your sour cream gravy and onions. Wash onions, peel and cut into half rings. Melt the butter in the microwave, then add sour cream and flour to this mass, mix well. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, add butter and fry the onion until golden brown.
Next, put the fried onions in the belly of your card, spread the remaining onions on top.
Put the carp on a greased baking sheet, sprinkle with onions and cover with sour cream filling, send to the oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
After the specified time, the carp, baked in the oven with onions in sour cream sauce, is completely ready and can be served. It is best to cut this dish right away with guests or at home. Potatoes or fried onions work well as a side dish.
