The combination of pasta and cheese is one of the classics in the global culinary tradition. The cooking option outlined in this recipe allows you to add zest to the usual taste and diversify the daily menu. Feathers are usually used for the dish, but you can experiment with, for example, shells. The main thing is that the pasta is not small and not large, but of medium size - the “golden mean” rule works in this case as well.

It is necessary

  • - feather pasta - 300 grams,
  • - sour cream 20% fat - 400 grams,
  • - hard or semi-hard cheese - 200 grams,
  • - garlic - 2-3 cloves,
  • - butter - 80-90 grams,
  • - salt to taste,
  • - vegetable oil for mold lubrication.

Instructions

Step 1

Boil the pasta slightly in boiling water, not bringing it to the degree of al dente. This is important because most of the time the dish will be in the oven, and there is a risk that the pasta will lose its shape. Therefore, there is no need to be afraid to leave them undercooked, a couple of minutes is enough for the initial stage of cooking.

Step 2

For the sauce, put the container on a very, very low heat (or turn on the electric burner at minimum power), pour sour cream into it, add cheese grated on a coarse grater, garlic passed through a press, and butter, salt to taste. The sauce should not be very hot and, moreover, boil. You just need to melt the cheese and bring the mass to a uniform consistency.

Step 3

A baking dish should be lightly greased with vegetable oil, put pasta in it and pour over the sauce. Place in a well-preheated oven and bake until the pasta is done. On average, this takes about 30-40 minutes, but the time can be varied, focusing on your own preferences. It is important to remember: the more the pasta is boiled, the less time it will take for them to reach readiness in the oven. However, the consistency of the sauce should also be taken into account - in the original recipe it should thicken and “curl” during the cooking process. If you want to leave the sauce semi-liquid, it is better to boil the pasta until half cooked.
