Chicken meat is one of the most successful for cooking barbecue in the oven. After all, it is very soft and fries quickly. Shish kebab can be made as a separate dish, or you can cook it with potatoes. It will turn out incredibly tasty. After all, the potatoes are soaked in saturated juice flowing from the meat and baked, absorbing all the aromas of barbecue spices. If you've never cooked anything like it, then it is definitely worth a try.

It is necessary

  • - chicken thighs - 2 kg;
  • - potatoes - 1.5 kg;
  • - onions - 5 pcs.;
  • - vinegar 9% - 6 tbsp. l.;
  • - dried cilantro (coriander) - 2 tsp;
  • - red hot pepper - a few pinches;
  • - ground black pepper;
  • - salt;
  • - skewers;
  • - baking dish.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse chicken thighs under running water and pat dry with paper towels. Then trim off the meat along with the fat from them. It is desirable that the fillet pieces are in the form of cubes with a side of at least 2.5 cm. Put the barbecue blanks in a bowl.

Step 2

Grind the dried coriander (cilantro) in a mortar or using a rolling pin. Peel 3 onions, cut into half rings and place in a bowl with the meat along with the coriander. Then add 5 tablespoons of vinegar, salt, red hot and black ground peppers. Mix everything together thoroughly and leave to marinate for 1-2 hours.

Step 3

When the time is up, peel the potatoes. Cut each tuber into two halves and cut thinly in a semicircle shape.

Step 4

Now take a baking dish, pour a little vegetable oil into it (about 2 tablespoons) and lay the potatoes, adding a little salt and pepper. Place the chicken pieces on skewers (the onion should remain in the bowl) and place them on top of the potatoes.

Step 5

Turn on the oven and set the temperature to 200 degrees. When it warms up, send a form with kebabs and potatoes into it. Fry until the top of the meat is browned. Once this happens, remove the baking pan and gently flip the skewers over to the other side so that it is well done too.

Step 6

While the kebab is being prepared, we will make an onion for it for an appetizer. Peel the remaining 2 heads and cut into thin quarter-rings. Then rinse them in cold water to remove excess bitterness, and put them in a deep plate. Pour in 1 tablespoon of 9% vinegar (can be replaced with apple cider vinegar 6%), add a few pinches of black pepper and stir.

Step 7

Once the potatoes are tender and the chicken skewers are cooked on both sides, remove the dish from the oven. Divide the dish into portions and serve along with onions and fresh flatbread.
