Meat and potato pies are delicious pastries. They can be added to lunch or served as a hearty breakfast. And as a snack, such a treat will come in handy, especially when it's cold outside. If you don't have a lot of time, you don't have to bake a yeast pie, but you can make an easy-to-prepare kefir-based dough. It will turn out very quickly and delicious.

It is necessary

  • For the test:
  • - kefir - 0.5 l;
  • - premium flour - about 500 g;
  • - creamy margarine - 100 g (0.5 packs);
  • - sour cream - 2 tbsp. l.;
  • - mayonnaise - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • - chicken egg - 1 pc.;
  • - sugar - 0.5 tsp;
  • - baking soda - 1 tsp;
  • - salt - 1 tsp.
  • For filling:
  • - meat pulp (pork / beef / chicken fillet) or minced pork and beef - 500 g;
  • - medium-sized potatoes - 3-4 pcs.;
  • - large onions - 2 pcs.;
  • - vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l. (optional);
  • - butter - 80-100 g;
  • - ground black pepper;
  • - salt:
  • - yolk - 1 pc. (optional).

Instructions

Step 1

Take the creamy margarine out of the refrigerator a few hours before cooking and keep it at room temperature to soften.

Step 2

Break a chicken egg into a large bowl and beat it together with kefir, salt and sugar. Then add soft margarine, sour cream and mayonnaise. Mix everything together well. For convenient mixing, you can use the mixer at medium speed.

Step 3

Now add the baking soda and flour. Knead a soft dough that should not stick to your hands. After that, put it in a bag and put it in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.

Step 4

While the dough is right, you can prepare the filling. To do this, peel the potatoes and onions. Cut the potatoes into thin slices and the onions into quarter-rings. Then add the chopped vegetables to the bowl.

Step 5

Rinse the meat under running water, dry and cut into the smallest pieces as possible, and transfer to a bowl. If you have minced meat, just mix it with vegetables. Then add black pepper, salt to taste and stir. If desired, you can also pour in a little vegetable oil for juiciness.

Step 6

Now let's start shaping the pie. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease with any oil. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide it into two so that one is slightly larger than the other.

Step 7

Roll out a layer 5-7 mm thick from the most part and spread it on a baking sheet. Add the potato and meat filling, and on top evenly place the butter, cut into several pieces. This will add even more juiciness and flavor to the cake.

Step 8

Roll out a smaller layer and cover the filling with it. Lift the edges of the lower layer and pinch them with the edges of the upper layer, for example, in the form of a pigtail. If desired, you can grease the top and sides of the workpiece with whipped yolk.

Step 9

Turn on the oven and preheat it to 180 degrees. After that, place the baking sheet with the product in it and bake for about 50 minutes. When the top of the pie is nicely browned, you can take it out, cut it into pieces and serve it.
