The apple and almond puffs are very easy to make. They can be served with lightly whipped cream, ice cream or sweet cream.
Ingredients for the filling:
- Small apples (red) - 4 pcs;
- Marzipan - 100 g;
- Brandy - 4 tablespoons.;
- Almonds - 50 g;
- Egg - 1 pc.
Ingredients for the dough:
- Powdered sugar - 40 g;
- Flour - 250 g;
- Butter - 150 g;
- Egg - 1 pc.
Preparation:
- To bake delicious apple and almond puffs, you first need to prepare the dough. To do this, you need to thoroughly mix all the ingredients prepared for it: flour, butter, icing sugar and a small egg. Knead the dough with quick movements. The resulting mass must be removed for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Now you need to prepare the apples. Peel and core them, pierce them with cocktail sticks. Holding the stick, apply a layer of brandy to the apples, and then roll them into very finely chopped almonds.
- Then you need to grate the finished marzipan and add the remaining brandy, mix everything thoroughly.
- Place greaseproof paper on a baking sheet. Bring the oven to 200 degrees. Roll out the cooled dough into a square about 35 by 35 centimeters in size. Divide the resulting square into four parts. Put an apple in the middle of each square. Place the marzipan mixture on the dough. Beat the egg and brush the edges of the square with it. Fasten the edges of the layers in the form of envelopes. Place them on a lined baking sheet, spread with beaten egg on top. Sprinkle the puffs with chopped almonds.
- Bake the puffs in the oven for 20 minutes. Willingness to test with a fork. If the apples have softened, the pies are ready. Serve envelopes stuffed with apple and almonds warm.
