Baking with chocolate always attracts - you just want to pamper yourself with a piece of cake, pie or muffin. To enjoy the taste of chocolate, you can make a delicious cake topped with almond flakes at home.
It is necessary
- For the cupcake:
- - 125 g of dark chocolate (from 60% cocoa content);
- - 100 g of butter;
- - 3 eggs (whites separate from the yolks);
- - 100 g of powdered sugar (3 tablespoons separately);
- - 100 g of ground almonds;
- - a teaspoon of vanilla extract;
- - salt on the tip of a knife;
- - half a teaspoon of baking powder;
- - a quarter teaspoon of baking soda;
- For glaze and decoration:
- - 100 g of dark chocolate (from 70% cocoa content);
- - 30 g butter;
- - 20-30 g of almond flakes.
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 190 ° C. Lightly grease the cake pan (about 23 x 13 cm) and cover it with baking paper. Melt chocolate and butter in a microwave oven or in a water bath, stir until smooth, set aside.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix the yolks with sugar (minus 3 tablespoons), add vanilla extract and salt, beat until firm foam. Add cooled chocolate cream and ground almonds, mix until smooth.
Step 3
In another cup, beat the whites until firm foam, add 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar and beat again.
Step 4
Sift flour with baking soda and baking powder into the chocolate mixture, mix gently and add beaten egg whites in three passes, kneading a homogeneous dough.
Step 5
We put the dough in a mold and send it to the oven for 35-40 minutes. Be sure to check the readiness of the chocolate cake with a wooden toothpick.
Step 6
When the cake has completely cooled down, prepare the icing for it: melt the chocolate and butter in a saucepan, mix and distribute evenly over the cake. We use almond flakes as decoration.
