The recipe for this jam is dedicated to the sweet tooth. Both the taste and the consistency of the jam are unusual. Delicate pieces of melon surrounded by raspberry syrup. Isn't this happiness for lovers of unusual delicacies?
It is necessary
- - kilogram melon
- - 1 kilogram of raspberries
- - 650 grams of sugar
- - one and a half glasses of water
- - 1 lemon
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the melon thoroughly, then dry it with paper towels or towels.
Step 2
Raspberries need to be washed. Since these berries are very delicate, they should be washed in a special way. Transfer raspberries in small portions into a colander, then lower them into a pre-prepared saucepan filled with cold water. Rinse there, then remove the colander and let the water drain. If the raspberries are wormy, then a little salt should be added to the pot of water (a teaspoon per 1 liter of water), after immersion in a saline solution, the worms will float to the surface and then they must be removed with a slotted spoon or a simple spoon. You cannot wash the berry under running water.
Step 3
Cooking syrup. To do this, you need a pan with a thick bottom (or double), it is poured with cold water, put on fire and brought to a boil. Throw sugar into boiling water, stir until completely dissolved.
Step 4
Cut the melon lengthwise, peel it first from the seeds, and then from the peel.
Step 5
Cut the peeled melon into small cubes. If the jam is made from a kilogram of melon, then separate only the right amount. You may only need half a melon.
Step 6
Wash the lemon and squeeze the juice out of it. Pour the juice over the melon cubes.
Step 7
Dip the melon in lemon juice in sugar syrup and bring to a boil.
Step 8
Boil the melon in syrup for half an hour, while constantly removing the foam.
Step 9
After half an hour, add the raspberries, bring to a boil again and cook for about 20 minutes until thickened.
Step 10
The jam is poured hot into pre-sterilized jars and rolled up. If it is usual, then it is stored in the refrigerator.
