Ingredients for making raspberry jam:
- 2 kg of raspberries;
- 2 kg of sugar.
Cooking raspberry jam:
1. To make raspberry jam, you need ripe berries. Unripe or, conversely, overripe, must be removed so that they do not spoil the taste of the jam. 2 kg of selected ripe berries must be carefully sorted out, leaves and other garbage must be selected.
2. Then the raspberries need to be washed. The best way to do this is to put a portion of the berries in a colander and lower it into a container of clean water. Then remove the colander, let the water drain and pour the raspberries into a clean bowl or large saucepan. Repeat this process with all remaining berries.
3. Pour the washed raspberries in a saucepan or bowl with granulated sugar. Then leave for a few hours to form a sweet berry syrup. This usually takes about 5 hours.
4. Over time, the juice should be drained into a clean, deep saucepan and boiled for about 10 minutes.
5. Pour berries into raspberry syrup, reduce heat and bring to a boil. Boil the jam over low heat for 5 minutes.
6. Ready raspberry jam should be poured into dry jars sterilized in any way. Close the lids or roll up the cans.
