Anyone who is actively fighting extra pounds and is fond of a healthy lifestyle knows firsthand that sweets are the main enemy of a beautiful and slender figure. However, contrary to popular belief, some candies can be not only very tasty, but also extremely healthy.
Of course, we are not talking about those candies that are sold in ordinary stores, but about those that you can make yourself. Only natural ingredients are used in the recipes below, so they can be safely recommended even to those people who are ardent supporters of healthy eating.
Dates and pumpkin seeds sweets
Very simple and delicious vegan candy can be prepared in just a couple of steps.
For cooking, you need to take:
- 150 g pumpkin seeds;
- 200 g fresh meaty dates;
- 2 medium-sized limes;
- 2-3 st. l. cocoa.
Grind pumpkin seeds dried in the oven with a coffee grinder or mortar into fine crumbs. Separate the dates from the seeds, puree the pulp with a blender. If the dried fruits are a little dry, then pre-soak them in hot water. Mix dates with seeds. Use a grater or knife to grind the lime zest and add it to the date mass. Mix all ingredients well. From the resulting mixture, form small candies of any arbitrary shape. Do not forget to dip them in cocoa and then place them in the refrigerator for at least 20-30 minutes. Chilled date candies are ready to eat right away.
Please note that vegan date candies are very energetic, which means that after consuming them, performance and mood improve.
Curd sweets "Rafaello"
Homemade cottage cheese-based sweets taste very tender and soft. Unlike store-bought ones, they do not contain trans fats and various stabilizers.
To prepare them you should take:
- 200 g of cottage cheese with a fat content of at least 5%;
- 80 g coconut flakes;
- 30 g of liquid honey;
- Several cashew or almond nuts.
Mix cottage cheese and honey with a blender until smooth. In the absence of a blender, the curd can be whipped with an ordinary fork, but in this case, the characteristic curd grain will be felt in the finished sweets. Once the mass becomes soft and elastic, make small ball-shaped candies out of it, inside which do not forget to put one cashew or almond nut. Dip the finished rafaellki in coconut flakes and place on a dessert plate. Soak the dessert in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
Homemade sweets "Rafaello" have a very original and interesting taste. They can be a great addition to both a milkshake and regular tea.
Dried apricot candies with cinnamon and light almond notes
Dried fruit candies differ not only in a very natural composition, but also in a huge amount of useful vitamins. Such sweets charge you with energy and good mood for the whole day.
For cooking you will need:
- 200 g dried apricots;
- 2-3 medium sized figs;
- 2-3 st. l. almonds;
- 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds;
- a small pinch of cinnamon and ground ginger.
Pour dried apricots with hot water and soak for 15-20 minutes. Rinse softened dried fruits well and combine with fig pulp. To make the mass more homogeneous, it is best to use a hand blender. First dry almonds and pumpkin seeds a little in the oven, and then grind with a mortar or coffee grinder. Next, combine all the ingredients by adding a little cinnamon and ground ginger. Mix all components well with a blender until smooth. Roll small balls of the same size from the resulting mass. Place the balls on a shallow plate and soak in the refrigerator for about 40 minutes. After cooling, dried apricot candies can be immediately served with tea or coffee. Dried fruit sweets fit perfectly into the daily menu, but they are best consumed in the morning.
