Cake with dates and nuts is a delicious dessert both for a festive table and for everyday tea drinking. The date cake is easy to make, and your favorite sweet tooth will surely be satisfied!

- - dates - 300-400 g
- - egg - 2 pcs.
- - sugar - 3 tablespoons
- - butter - 100 g
- - flour - 1, 5 cups
- - walnuts
- - soda
- - cinnamon
- - salt
- - condensed cocoa - 0.5 cans
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse fresh dates, cut into halves and remove seeds. Soak the dates in hot water for half an hour, then chop finely.
Step 2
In a bowl, grind sugar and softened butter well, add eggs, then a pinch of baking soda, salt, cinnamon. Add flour and stir. Add chopped dates last.
Step 3
Stir the dough thoroughly, then place it in an even layer in a baking dish, coated with butter and sprinkled with flour. Preheat the oven.
Step 4
Bake for about an hour at 180 degrees. Check the readiness of the cake with a wooden stick. Pierce the middle of the cake with it: if you pulled out a dry one, it means that the cake is already baked.
Step 5
Cool the finished cake with dates, coat with condensed cocoa. Grind and lightly fry walnuts in a pan without oil, sprinkle heavily on the cake.
