Iranian soup "Gondi" is both simple and original hot dish. At first glance, it looks like a regular meatball soup, but thanks to the use of special seasonings, the taste of this dish changes dramatically.
It is necessary
- - 3 potatoes
- - 5 onions
- - 500 g minced chicken
- - 1/2 tbsp. flour
- - turmeric
- - vegetable oil
- - ground white pepper
- - cardamom
- - salt
- - 2 liters of chicken broth
Instructions
Step 1
Mix the minced chicken with flour, coarsely grated onions (4 heads), two tablespoons of turmeric and a pinch of white pepper. Roll into large balls from the mixture.
Step 2
Bring the chicken stock to a boil. Chop one onion and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.
Step 3
While boiling, add the sauteed onions to the broth and lower the minced chicken balls. After 20-30 minutes, add the sliced potatoes and carrots to the contents of the pan.
Step 4
The readiness of the soup can be determined by the potatoes. Once it is soft, turn off the heat and let the gondi simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Step 5
On the table, such a dish can be served with finely chopped herbs. At home, gondi is in Iran, it is consumed with a special herb with a pungent and tart odor. You can replace this additive with ordinary arugula.
