Shawarma is a classic oriental lavash dish stuffed with lamb, beef or poultry with a variety of spices and fresh vegetables. The ability to combine and wrap products in pita bread is the main condition for the preparation of this dish. Let's cook chicken shawarma at home.
Instructions
Finely chop the chicken meat and marinate with spices: a mixture of pepper, a little cardamom, you can add a little mustard, dried dill, ginger. Add crushed garlic and some olive oil, salt and set aside in a cool place for 20-30 minutes.
Vegetables: finely chop cucumbers, tomatoes, fresh herbs, stir, add Korean carrots.
Sauce: take mayonnaise and fatty kefir. Stirring kefir continuously, add mayonnaise, crushed garlic and juice of one lemon. Mix thoroughly.
Transfer the marinated meat to a pan, smooth, pour over sour cream and simmer for 15 minutes. Then stir thoroughly and turn on the heat to full, do not forget to stir continuously so that the meat does not burn. After the meat is well done, turn off the heat.
Mix meat with vegetables, pour with sauce and wrap in pita bread, shawarma is ready!

Try to use fresh lavash, because the next day, it will not work to roll the pita bread - it will break and as a result everything will creep out. If, nevertheless, the pita bread is dry, moisten it slightly with water. A freezer is also used to store this product, pita bread is not afraid of the cold.
Useful Tips
To marinate the meat well, use white wine or apple cider vinegar for the pork marinade, season with spices and black peppercorns. For beef - lemon vinegar and red wine, with onions. Marinate the chicken in mayonnaise.
