First of all, I would like to say that horseradish, like many other vegetables, can be saved using the cellar. To do this, having dug up the roots of this plant, carefully shake them off the soil, then form a kind of bundles from them, and then hang them. Horseradish can also be put in wooden boxes and stored, covered with sand on top.

Agree that not everyone has a cellar. In such a case, you can save horseradish for the winter using the refrigerator. To do this, carefully cut off all small adventitious roots at the roots of this plant, then rinse them properly under cold running water. Dry clean roots. This will take you 2-3 days. After this procedure, place the horseradish in whole plastic bags and tie in such a way that no air gets into them, that is, absolutely tight.

Horseradish can also be stored in crushed form, for example, in powder. To do this, thoroughly rinse its roots, then let them dry completely by laying them out on plywood. Rub the dried roots of the plant to a powdery state. This method is convenient because horseradish is almost always at hand and can be easily added to any dish.

Well, and the last way. After rinsing the horseradish from dust and dirt, peel it, then place it in the freezer. Reach out as needed. Saving horseradish in this way is convenient because, if you want to use it, it is very easy to grate it, since it is frozen, in addition, you will not shed a single tear.
