Step 1
There are several ways to preserve your pumpkin crop in winter. If there is a cellar, store the pumpkin in it at a temperature of 1-4 ° C. Be careful not to let the vegetables touch each other. Place the pumpkin in one row on a shelf about 50 cm from the floor. The ponytails should be towards the top. In this way, you can save the pumpkin for several months. The cellar room should be dark and cool, the air humidity should not exceed 70%. Be sure to look at the state of the vegetable crust, it must be intact.

You can simply freeze the pumpkin. To do this, wash it, peel and seed it, cut it into pieces, preferably into cubes. Place in a container and place in the freezer. Use the resulting semi-finished product at any time for the preparation of various vegetable, meat dishes and soups.
Step 3
Pumpkin can be prepared salted. To do this, prepare a solution of salt and water. Take products based on 5 kg of pumpkin - 1.5 kg of salt. Wash the pumpkin under cold water, peel and seeds and cut into slices. Place the prepared pieces tightly in sterilized jars, fill with cold solution so that the pumpkin is completely covered. Sprinkle some more salt on top. You don't need to add spices. Store at room temperature.

You can make jam from pumpkin crusts. Boil the syrup over low heat using sugar and water in a 1: 1 ratio. Peel the crusts and cut into different pieces. Pour in thick syrup and stir. Throw the finished mixture on a sieve, leave it for a while so that all the liquid is glass. Put the finished pumpkin rinds on a board and dry a little. Sprinkle sugar evenly over them and place in clean jars.
