A spicy snack made from ripe tomatoes, horseradish and garlic is very popular in our country. It is very easy to prepare such a snack for the winter using a classic recipe.
Ingredients needed to prepare the snack:
- 350 grams of horseradish roots:
- 1 kg of ripe and soft tomatoes;
- 5-10 cloves of garlic;
- 30 grams of salt;
- hot red pepper if desired;
- 25-30 grams of sugar (if necessary).
Cooking horseradish for the winter:
1. Washed tomatoes should be cut into quarters with a sharp knife. Peel the washed horseradish roots from the hard upper rind. The garlic also needs to be peeled. The number of cloves of garlic depends on how sharp the horse should be.
2. Then the prepared food must be grinded in a meat grinder or chopped in a blender.
3. Mix puréed tomatoes with chopped horseradish and garlic, spicy lovers can add a little red pepper.
4. Salt should be added to the resulting hot mass, and sugar should be added if the tomatoes are sour.
5. Mix everything with a wooden spoon and taste. Add salt, pepper or a little sweetener if necessary.
6. The jars selected for storing snacks must be thoroughly sterilized.
7. Put the horseradish in prepared jars and roll them up. After cooling, place the jars of spicy snacks in the refrigerator and store there until use.
