Step 1

First of all, you need to rinse the pumpkin very thoroughly under running water. After this procedure, let it dry completely. Then, taking a knife, carefully peel off the peel from its surface. Also remove all seeds. Cut the remaining pumpkin pulp into small random pieces.

Step 2

Scald the lemon with boiling water. Then rinse it thoroughly under cold running water, then dry it and chop it into thin slices of the same size.

Using a fairly large saucepan, place the chopped pumpkin pulp and the sliced lemon wedges in it. Then pour granulated sugar there. Pour the resulting mass with water and place it on the stove. Boil the future compote until the pumpkin softens, that is, for 15-20 minutes, no less.
