Ingredients for making pickled cucumbers

- about 1 kg of small fresh cucumbers;

- leaves of currant and horseradish;

- young dill umbrellas;

- half a small head of garlic;

- 5-6 peas of black and allspice;

- 1, 5 Art. l. Sahara;

- 1 table l salt;

- 2 tsp 70% vinegar.

Cooking crispy pickled cucumbers for the winter

1. An important stage is the selection of cucumbers for harvesting for the winter. For this recipe, you need to pick up not too large cucumbers with a sufficiently hard skin. Their length should not exceed 11-12 cm. Dark green pimpled cucumbers of medium size are best suited, they will marinate well and will crunch.

2. The cucumbers need to be washed, cut off their "butts" and filled with very cold water for about three hours.

3. During this time, it will be possible to prepare cans and lids (wash, sterilize). For this amount of cucumbers, one can of 2 liters or two liters is suitable.

4. Put 3 peas of each type of pepper, 2-3 washed currant leaves, one horseradish leaf and a dill umbrella in the finished liter jars on the bottom. You also need to put 2-3 cloves of garlic in jars.

5. Then you need to tightly arrange the soaked cucumbers in the jars, if necessary, some of them can be cut in half.

6. Pour boiling water over each jar of cucumbers, cover with a lid and leave for 10-15 minutes.

7. During this time, you need to prepare the marinade. Pour salt, a few peppercorns and sugar into a liter of water, boil. Then immediately add vinegar to the boiling marinade, stir and remove from heat.

8. Drain the hot water from the cucumbers and pour the prepared marinade over the jars almost to the very edges. Immediately roll up the cucumbers with sterile lids.

9. Place the jars on a towel upside down and check the tightness of the lids. If liquid is released, then it is urgent to re-roll the jar with another sterile lid.

10. Banks are well covered and left in this form for about a day, then put in a cellar, closet or other cool place.
