One of the ways to prepare plums is pickling. The fruits prepared in this way can be used as an independent snack, as well as as a seasoning for soups, as a component of sauces and side dishes.

Pickled plum with bay leaf

To make plums using this recipe, you will need:

- 10 kg plums;

- 3 kg of sugar;

- 0.5 liters of wine vinegar;

- 40 g of bay leaves;

- 20 g of clove buds.

Choose the strongest, better unripe fruits, remove the tails from them and wash them under running water. Place the plums in a glass or plastic container, layering them in layers with spices, fruits should be at the very top.

Pour the vinegar into a saucepan and bring it to a boil, add granulated sugar in small portions, stirring constantly. You should have a thick syrup with some of the sugar undissolved. Pour the plums with boiling syrup, cover them with a lid and put them in a cool place.

For the next three days, in the morning and in the evening, drain the marinade from the plums, bring it to a boil and pour over the fruit. On the fourth day, drain the drain again and boil it again. Spread the plums together with the spices in small glass jars, then fill them with hot marinade. Close the cans with tin lids and wrap them in a thick towel. When the jars are completely cool, store them in a cool place.

Plum marinated with garlic

You can marinate plums with garlic, in which case you will get a spicy snack with a sweet and sour aftertaste. To prepare the fruit, you will need:

- 800 g plums;

- 200 g of garlic;

- 150 g of sugar;

- 3-4 carnation buds;

- 3-4 peas of black pepper;

- 3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar;

- 1 tbsp. water.

Wash the unripe plums, remove the stalks from them and cut each in half, but not completely. Remove the seeds from the cut fruits, and instead put in half a clove of garlic. Place the plums tightly in sterilized jars, fill them with hot marinade and roll up the lids. To make the marinade, boil water and dissolve sugar in it, then add spices and vinegar.

Pickled plums with cinnamon

To harvest fruits according to this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

- 1 kg of plums;

- 4 tablespoons salt;

- 1, 5 Art. granulated sugar;

- 200 ml of wine vinegar;

- 4 tablespoons lemon juice;

- 1 tsp cinnamon.

Chop thick plums with a fork and place in glass jars. Mix wine vinegar with lemon juice and boil, add salt and sugar, cinnamon to it. Pour the plums with hot marinade, roll up the jars with lids, remove them to cool in a warm place, then move them to the refrigerator.
