Squid is a healthy and tasty salad ingredient. It contains a large amount of iodine, vitamins and minerals, it is easy to cook, and in combination with various products, interesting taste miniatures are obtained from it.

- fresh cucumbers - 3 pcs;

Step 1
If you purchased frozen squid meat, defrost it correctly, otherwise the color and taste of the product may be spoiled. To do this, use cold water or, in extreme cases, a microwave oven. But never defrost the squid in hot water.
Step 2
Rinse the thawed seafood under cold running water, and then carefully remove the transparent skin from it, which can cause an unpleasant smell when cooking the product. Then beat the pulp lightly so that it does not shrink during cooking.
Step 3
Boil the squid by tossing them in boiling salted water for 3-4 minutes. After that, take out the seafood, discard it in a colander and let it cool.
Step 4
Make a light, classic salad. To do this, cut the squid fillets into thin rings, add finely chopped boiled eggs, season with mayonnaise, salt and pepper and stir gently.
Step 5
Add finely chopped onions and fresh cucumbers to the salad above for another salad. And if you replace the cucumbers with boiled potatoes - the third.
Step 6
For lovers of exotic salads, a pineapple recipe is suitable. Cut the squid into strips, add canned corn, boiled eggs and some pineapple, cut into small cubes. Mix everything, season with mayonnaise and salt to taste. If it turns out to be too sweet for you, drizzle lightly with lemon juice on the salad.

Make a squid salad with canned peas. To do this, cut the squid fillets and fresh cucumbers into thin strips, add crab sticks, canned peas, grated eggs on a coarse grater, green onions and some finely chopped parsley to them. Stir all ingredients with mayonnaise and refrigerate for a couple of hours.
