Mexican cuisine uses a fairly wide range of foods for cooking: corn, rice, legumes, pumpkin, seafood, cheese, avocado and even cacti! Mexican dishes are not complete without different varieties of peppers; chili peppers have long been considered a symbol of Mexico. In this recipe, chili is also present, thanks to the pepper, rice with beans becomes moderately spicy, but for those who like spicy, you can advise not to spare the pepper.
It is necessary
- For eight servings:
- - 450 g of long grain rice;
- - 400 ml of chicken broth;
- - 1/2 can of canned red beans;
- - 1 onion;
- - 5 cloves of garlic;
- - 5 cloves of garlic;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of olive oil;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of chopped red chili;
- - salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a large saucepan, pour olive oil into it, put it on the stove and heat it up.

Peel the onion, garlic, chop, add together with the pepper to the pan. Fry for 10 minutes, the onion should become transparent.
Step 3
Add rice to a saucepan, stir continuously for two minutes. Pour in chicken broth, salt to taste, bring to a boil.
Step 4
Reduce heat, cook the rice for about 15 minutes, until it absorbs the broth. After that, remove the pan from the stove, let the rice brew under a closed lid (5 minutes).
Step 5
Put the cooked rice in a bowl, add the red canned beans, and leave for a while, stirring occasionally. Now add pepper and salt. Mexican rice with beans is ready, you can serve it.
