Bread has been present on our table since ancient times. It is nutritious and quickly quenches the feeling of the year. In addition, this product contains many vitamins and minerals necessary for human health. However, not every type of bread is useful for those who seek to lose weight.
How many calories are in wheat flour bread
This type of bread is considered less useful, since it contains very few vitamins and fiber useful for digestion. But wheat bread has a high calorie content. Depending on the variety and recipe, 100 grams of this product can contain from 240 to 270 kcal. And the calorie content of pastries can reach 300 kcal.
That is why it is better to refuse from baguettes, rolls and loaves altogether or use them in small quantities exclusively in the morning.
Calorie content and benefits of rye bread
Unlike wheat bread, rye bread is more useful not only for a thin waist, but also for general well-being. Typically, 100 g of this product accounts for 190 to 210 kcal. It contains a lot of healthy carbohydrates, protein and a small amount of fat.
Rye bread is rich in B vitamins, PP and E vitamins. By the way, the latter is responsible for skin elasticity and is considered one of the most effective antioxidants. Black bread, including "Borodinsky", saturates the body with minerals: iron, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and sodium. It also contains essential amino acids.
This composition makes rye bread very healthy. It quite quickly satisfies the feeling of hunger, improves metabolism and promotes the elimination of harmful compounds from the body. And if it also contains an additional ingredient in the form of bran, such bread saturates the body with fiber and normalizes digestion.
It is also very useful to eat rye bread with nuts, caraway seeds or flax seeds. Such a product contains even more vitamins and perfectly cleanses the body.
How to eat bread correctly
Nutritionists do not recommend giving up bread altogether, since it contains many vitamins, micro- and macroelements useful for humans. However, in order not to gain weight, it is advisable to include in your diet bakery products made from rye flour, whole grains, sprouted grains or bread cooked with a hoppy sourdough without yeast - as it has long been prepared in Russia.
People with normal weight are advised to eat no more than 200 g of bread per day, preferably in the morning. These are about two small pieces. For those suffering from obesity, it is better to limit the consumption of bread to 100 grams per day. However, it should not be eaten with potatoes, meat, butter and cereals. The best option is a crouton for breakfast or a small slice of bread with salad or broth for lunch.
