It is necessary

    • 4 beets;
    • 2 tbsp. l. semolina;
    • 2 tbsp butter or vegetable oil;
    • 2 tbsp. l. milk
    • 2 tbsp bread crumbs or flour;
    • 2 eggs;
    • salt;
    • 1/2 cup dried fruits (dried apricots
    • prunes or raisins);
    • 1/2 cup sour cream;
    • 1 onion turnip;
    • 1 glass of cottage cheese;
    • 1 clove of garlic;
    • 400 g of liver;
    • 1 glass of buckwheat porridge.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a medium-sized beet, about the size of a man's fist, and wash it thoroughly with a brush. Place in an enamel pot, cover with cold water so that the vegetables are completely covered with it.

Step 2

Place the lid on the dish and cook. After the liquid boils, add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and stir it in boiling water. Then make it slow heat and stir. Sugar helps the root vegetable retain its beautiful raspberry color and also gives it a sweeter taste.

Boil the beets for 40-50 minutes until they are completely softened. At this time, prepare the ingredients that can be added to the patties. They can be changed from time to time so that the taste of the dish does not become boring. Eggs, semolina, bread crumbs, and vegetable oil come in handy anyway. If the first and second are needed to bind all the components, then the second and third are needed to fry the products.

Several are suitable as separately added products. For example, garlic. Divide the head of garlic into cloves, peel each and chop with a garlic press. In this case, add semolina to the dry mass for cutlets.

Meat cutlets with beets are prepared as follows: combine the minced liver with beets in 1/1 proportions. Minced meat can be pork, beef or poultry. If you add buckwheat porridge instead of semolina to such cutlets, then they will become a medicinal food against anemia, since they will contain a lot of iron. Only you need to fry them longer, since they are meat.

If you are preparing the dish for children, then you can add granulated sugar to the cutlet mass. Only in this case, do not use any additives other than cottage cheese. Because they don't mix with sugar.

When the beets have cooled down after cooking, peel them, turn them in a meat grinder or grate them on a fine grater. And add your favorite ingredients. And add to them those that are unchanged: eggs and semolina. Salt the cutlets.

Then form the patties by hand and roll them in breadcrumbs or flour. Now place in a hot skillet and fry in vegetable oil for 3-6 minutes. Beet cutlets are ready. Serve with sour cream.
