Rice was and remains one of the most popular cereals. Everyone knows that this wonderful cereal is perfect for making pilaf, soups, it can be an addition to salads, as it goes well with fruits and vegetables, meat and fish. There are several easy ways to cook rice that will make it tasty and crumbly.
Instructions
Step 1
Cooking rice in a saucepan. Sort out and rinse the rice well, pour boiling water over it (5 glasses of water per glass of rice). Season to taste and bring to a boil over medium heat. Then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, uncovered. At the end of cooking, discard the rice in a colander and let the water drain. Cover with a towel and wait another 5 minutes.
Step 2
Quick Cooking Rice Sort the rice, rinse it with cold water and cover with a large volume of lightly salted boiling water. Put on fire and cook for 10-15 minutes. After boiling, drain the rice in a colander and rinse.
Step 3
Microwave Rice Pour the cooked rice into a microwave-safe container and add water in a 1: 1 ratio, 5. Cook at maximum power for 10 minutes, then at medium power for another 15 minutes. After that, let the cooked rice stand for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Steaming rice. Pour half the boiling water into a tall saucepan. Tie a loose fiber or calico napkin over the pan. Pour the prepared rice on top of it and put a piece of butter on top of it. Cover the saucepan with a lid or an overturned plate and place over high heat. During cooking, add boiling water, if necessary, without removing the napkin.
Step 5
Boiling Rice in Large Amounts of Boiling Water Pour a large amount of lightly salted boiling water into an enamel bowl, add the washed rice and cook until half cooked to keep the grain firm. At the end of cooking, discard the rice in a colander and rinse with cold boiled water.
Step 6
Boiling rice in a mixture of water and milk Prepare a mixture of 1/3 part water and 2/3 parts milk and boil the rice in it until almost cooked. After that, fold it into a colander, rinse with hot water and place on an inverted sieve, previously covered with coarse calico or paper. Let the rice dry for 15-20 minutes.
