New Year is a good opportunity to please your family and guests not only with delicious dishes, but also with original drinks. New Year's drinks can be both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and their specific choice depends not only on your tastes, but also on the dishes served to the table.
Caribbean champagne
This popular drink will become an original aperitif and go well with light meat and vegetable snacks.
You will need:
- 15 ml of white rum;
- 15 ml of banana liqueur;
- 150 ml of champagne;
- banana.
All cocktail ingredients must be refrigerated beforehand.
Pour rum and liqueur into a tall glass and stir. Add champagne there, stirring regularly. Garnish the finished cocktail with a slice of banana from the edge of the glass.
Acapulco
You will need:
- 160 ml of tequila;
- 120 ml of Cointreau liqueur;
- 1 lime;
- 1 mango;
- crushed ice.
Peel and cut the mango into pieces. Place a few pieces of fruit and ice on the bottom of each glass. Squeeze lime juice, pour into a shaker and add tequila and cointreau. Whisk the ingredients and pour into glasses with ice mangoes. Serve with a straw and a small spoon for fruit.
To make cocktails look like a New Year's treat for longer, glasses can be decorated with orange peels or shiny themed stickers.
Mulled wine
You will need:
- a bottle of red wine;
- 3/4 Art. water;
- 100 g of sugar;
- cinnamon stick;
- 1 orange;
- 1 apple;
- 3 tbsp. cranberries;
- several inflorescences of a carnation.
Open the wine and pour it along with the water into a saucepan. Bring to a boil, but do not boil. Pour sugar into the mixture and wait until it dissolves. Cut the orange into slices along with the peel, peel the apples, remove the core and chop into cubes. Add fruit, cinnamon and cloves to the wine and cook for at least half an hour. Serve hot mulled wine in mugs or glasses with handles. Also note that this recipe can be modified to suit your tastes. For example, honey can be added to wine instead of sugar. The amount and composition of spices also vary. You can also replace wine - mulled wine is also brewed from white wine, although much less often. The best addition to mulled wine will be dry biscuits or muffins.
Egg cocktail
You will need:
- 4 eggs;
- 70 g of sugar;
- 500 ml of milk;
- 200 ml of cream;
- 3 tbsp. bourbon;
- 1 tsp nutmeg;
- a pinch of ground cinnamon.
Crack the eggs by separating the whites from the yolks. Mash the yolks white with sugar. Whisk the whites into a dense foam, then gradually add the cream, milk and bourbon to them, continuing to beat this mass. Finally, add spices and yolks with sugar. Pour the resulting cocktail into glasses. For beauty, you can sprinkle the cocktail with chocolate chips or ground nuts.
