Parchment is paper that has been processed in a special way. It does not need lubrication, does not stick to food, does not absorb fat, and if desired, the same sheet of parchment can be used repeatedly. Most often it is used to cook food in the oven.

Instructions

Step 1

Parchment looks like wrapping paper - smooth, dense, and can be white or brown in color. It is made of paper, which is impregnated with special compounds and, as a result, acquires many useful properties. It turns out a wonderful material that is plastic, resistant to moisture and temperature. Parchment absorbs well the fat emitted by the products baked in it. It does not collapse when boiled, it tolerates high temperatures well, and does not lose strength if it gets wet.

Step 2

Try oven cooking in a skillet, lining the bottom with parchment. This method is suitable for both gas and electric stoves, but a high temperature in the oven should not be used. Food cooked on parchment will not burn.

Step 3

Bake cookies, covering a baking sheet with parchment - the baked goods will bake evenly, it is better to keep the shape. To decorate cooled cookies with icing, you can use the same sheet on which the cookies were baked as a pastry bag. When baking meringue cakes, there is nothing more reliable than parchment - the bottom of the baking does not stick to it, and the integrity of the product can be preserved when removed from the mold.

Step 4

Always bake filled pastries on parchment. If the filling leaks out, the pies or cookies may stick to the baking sheet, it is quite difficult to remove them in this case. It will become much more convenient to do this with parchment.

Step 5

Place the bread to be baked on the proofing parchment. When it's time to put the bread in the oven, you can transfer it to a baking sheet directly on the parchment. It perfectly withstands the high temperatures required to obtain well-baked bread.

Step 6

Line a baking sheet with parchment if you're going to bake anything in the oven. Vegetables placed on the parchment will cook perfectly, and the dishes will not even need to be washed after that. You can do it even easier - wrap portioned pieces of meat, fish or chicken in parchment, add vegetables, put the rolls on a baking sheet or in a deep frying pan. In a "shirt" made of parchment, food turns out to be much tastier, while during the cooking process it is possible to preserve a maximum of useful substances.
