Step 1

Add eggs to the curd and mix everything thoroughly. Then add flour and salt. In general, 1 heaped tablespoon of flour per 200 grams of cottage cheese is enough. If you make cheese cakes in this proportion, they will turn out to be light and a little loose. If you like thick and crispy cheesecakes more, you can add more flour. In general, each housewife usually selects the amount of flour for cheesecakes in accordance with their own preferences.

Simple cheesecakes can be prepared with or without sugar. If you prefer sweet cheese cakes, add sugar to the dough. You can also add raisins to the dough, in this case you will get sweet curd cakes with raisins. As an additive for not sweet curd cakes, you can use fresh or dried herbs (dill or basil is suitable). In addition, you can add ground black pepper, cardamom, caraway seeds or coriander to cheese cakes with herbs.

Step 3

Place two cups near the stove: one with cheese pan dough, the other with cold water. Place a flat plate of breading next to the cups. As a breading for cheesecakes, you can use flour or finely ground crumbs from crackers.

Soak your hands in cold water (the dough can stick to dry hands), take some dough from the cup and make an oval or round chop from it. Dip the breadcrumbs and place in a skillet with well-heated vegetable oil. Shape and roll the rest of the balls in the same way. Fry all cottage cheese pancakes on both sides until golden brown. Depending on the thickness of the pancakes, roasting each side takes 2-3 minutes.

Place the prepared cheesecakes on a flat dish covered with a kitchen paper towel (it will absorb the excess oil). Serving cheesecakes is best served with sour cream. Sweet cheesecakes can also be served with condensed milk or jam.
