Lingonberry is an extremely healthy berry. It contains vitamins, complex organic acids, manganese compounds, and benzoic acid. Thanks to this acid, which is a natural preservative, lingonberries can be stored simply soaked, without heat treatment. Berries are useful for vascular diseases and gastritis with low acidity.

- 1 kg of lingonberries;
- 0.5 kg of sugar;
- 0, 5 tbsp. water;
- cinnamon
- carnation.
Instructions
Step 1
Sort out the lingonberries, remove the stalks and other impurities and rinse in cold water. Pour the lingonberries into a colander and let the water drain for a while.
Step 2
Place a pot of water on the stove and boil it. The diameter of the pot should be slightly larger than the diameter of the colander to be able to dip the colander into the pot. Dip a colander with lingonberries in boiling water and blanch for 1-2 minutes. This will help rid the lingonberry of the slight bitter taste. Although some see this as the attractive side of lingonberry jam. Some put silver spoons in the jam during cooking, believing that this also deprives it of its bitter taste.
Step 3
Remove the lingonberries from the boiling water and put them in a bowl in which you will cook the jam.
On the basis of the water in which the lingonberries were blanched, prepare a syrup: mix 0.5 cups of water and sugar, boil, remove the foam from the surface with a slotted spoon and pour the prepared berries with the syrup.
Step 4
You can add a piece of cinnamon and a couple of cloves to the flavor jam. Bring the jam to a boil and cook until tender over low heat, stirring and skimming. The readiness can be determined by the "drip method".
Step 5
Pack the jam into prepared jars and close them. It can also be served with meat dishes, it enriches the taste of the main dish with its bittersweet flavor. In some Nordic cuisines, lingonberry is very popular as an ingredient for sauces; special marinades and jams with a reduced sugar content are prepared from it. This is used to garnish, for example, roasts or minced meat dishes.
