A bottle of sparkling wine should be opened carefully, without cotton. Knocking out the cork is not only considered vulgar, but also spoils the taste of champagne. And you need to pour this wonderful drink a couple of minutes after uncorking, doing it slowly so that the wine glides along the walls of the glass. The latter should be tall and elongated for the brute and wide for sweet varieties.

During one event, you can serve several types of champagne, but at the same time they must be from the same country. It is considered bad form, for example, to mix French sparkling wines with Hungarian ones.

True gourmets advise to drink champagne leisurely, enjoying the taste of every sip. At ceremonial receptions, hold a glass with this drink with your left hand on the leg. In this case, one should be prepared for the fact that the glass put on the table will be immediately carried away by the waiters, even if it is almost full.

During dinner, instead of champagne, it is customary to serve dry or semi-sweet wines, which will go much better with the variety of dishes served. Nevertheless, not everyone likes to mix drinks - in this case, you should prepare treats from seafood, game or white meat for champagne. But in no case should you eat this noble drink with pickles or marinades.

To quickly celebrate any important event, champagne, including "Soviet", can be served without a snack. This should be done, for example, after painting in the registry office or when opening a retail outlet, when drinking a drink will be symbolic. In extreme cases, strawberries, peeled pineapple, and light desserts such as meringues can be served with sparkling wine. But chocolate is not served with champagne, as it will spoil the taste of this drink.
