In Russia, Ivan tea has always been one of the most popular drinks. At the same time, it was believed that it manifests its beneficial properties best only if a certain brewing technology is observed. Of course, it is also possible to prepare the correct Ivan tea in a modern kitchen.
It is necessary
- - teapot 1.2 l;
- - fermented dried leaves of willow-tea - 2 tbsp / l.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are using a ceramic teapot for brewing, preheat it. To do this, pour two tablespoons of boiling water into it, rinse it, hold the water inside for 1-2 minutes and throw it out.
Step 2
To make the right willow tea, pour dry fireweed into the teapot. To brew a fragrant healthy drink, you can take all parts of this plant: leaves, flowers, roots. But most often a mixture of dry leaves and a small amount of flowers is used to make tea. The most aromatic drink can be made from fermented, not just dried fireweed.
Step 3
Pour the remaining willow tea back into the jar and seal the last one tightly. One of the advantages of dried fireweed is that it never absorbs harmful substances. However, dust can still get into an open jar. Sometimes dried fireweed also picks up foreign odors.
Step 4
Now let's see how to brew real willow tea correctly. Pour slightly cooled boiling water into the teapot. It is impossible to brew ivan tea with too hot water at 100 C. At this temperature, some vitamins and minerals in the leaves can be destroyed. Unplug the kettle and wait about a minute. During this time, the water temperature will drop to the required temperature for brewing.
Step 5
Place the lid on the teapot. Of course, many tea lovers are interested in how much time to brew Ivan tea. Soak the fireweed leaves in hot water for at least 10 minutes. Instantly dry fireweed leaves, like colored Chinese teas, are certainly not brewed. You can even lengthen the brewing time to 15-20 minutes. That's all, actually. We have got a real fragrant and very healthy Ivan tea.
Step 6
Use the prepared, correct Ivan tea for the intended purpose. It is not necessary to brew fireweed every day, like regular Chinese or Indian tea. The prepared solution will become even tastier the next day. If desired, the prepared tea leaves can also be diluted with water (up to 3 times).
