Sometimes gardeners do not have time to harvest cucumbers, as a result, they outgrow. These gherkins have their own name - "yellow". They have large, numerous seeds, thick skin and a bitter taste. But you don't have to throw them away! From this raw material, excellent preparations for the winter can be obtained, which are no less useful and tasty than pickled cucumbers.
It is necessary
- - 1 kg of overgrown cucumbers;
- - 50 g of dill;
- - 20 g of mint;
- - 10 g of cherry leaves;
- - 1 head of garlic;
- - 50 g of salt;
- - 40 g of vinegar;
- - 0.5 l. water;
- - 3 liter can;
- - skewers or toothpicks.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash overgrown cucumbers, carefully peel and remove the seeds.
Step 2
Cut the cucumber pulp into 1 cm thick plates.
Step 3
Rinse all greens and cut thinly.
Step 4
Peel the head of garlic and cut into wedges.
Step 5
Sprinkle the cucumber plates evenly with salt, herbs and garlic. Wrap the plates in rolls, piercing with skewers.
Step 6
Place the finished rolls in a jar. Place cherry leaves on top, cover with warm water and add vinegar.
Step 7
Screw the lid back on the jar and turn it over gently. Store the workpiece in this form in the cellar.
