Quince is a fruit that outwardly resembles a mixture of apple and pear, but differs from them in a tart and viscous taste. Quince is very useful, but you won't be able to eat a lot of it fresh, so it is better to use this fruit for cooking various dishes.

  • - quince - 3 large fruits;
  • - lentils - 1 can (400 g);
  • - 2 medium-sized onions;
  • - ginger root - 3 centimeters;
  • - small dark raisins - 30 g;
  • - cilantro - a small bunch;
  • - vegetable oil;
  • - chili powder - 1 teaspoon;
  • - salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

We clean the quince with a stiff brush to remove the fluff from the peel. Put the fruits in a saucepan with cold water, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium, cook the quince until soft - about 35-45 minutes.

Step 2

Take the quince out of the pan, set it aside to cool the fruit. Pour raisins with part of the broth, leave for 15-20 minutes to soften. We put the raisins on a sieve so that the excess liquid is glass.

Step 3

Grind the cilantro as finely as possible, leave a few leaves to decorate the dish. Peel and finely chop the onion and ginger. In a frying pan over medium heat, heat a little vegetable oil, fry the onion and ginger until a beautiful golden color, stirring constantly so that the vegetables do not burn. After 10 minutes, add cilantro and raisins to the pan, sprinkle with curry powder, mix the ingredients and fry for another 1 minute, then remove from heat.

Cut the quince lengthwise into 2 halves, remove the core, and take out the pulp very carefully (the walls of the quince should be about 1.5 centimeters thick, so there is no need to remove all the pulp). Chop the pulp with a knife, transfer to the pan to the onion.

We put the lentils in a colander, let the liquid drain. We shift the lentils to the onions, salt and pepper to taste, gently mix the ingredients until smooth. Fill the quince with the filling.

Grease the baking sheet with a small amount of oil, put the stuffed quince on it, send it to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15 minutes. We serve hot quince boats, garnished with cilantro leaves or any other greenery.
