- two carrots;

- chicken bouillon;

- 500 grams of tomatoes in their own juice;

Put the lentils in a saucepan, pour boiling water over it, close the lid and leave for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, take a pan, pour a little oil on it and fry the minced meat and finely chopped pancetta. Once the meat products are golden brown, add finely chopped onions and garlic, as well as your favorite spices and seasonings (including thyme), salt everything and fry for five minutes. Next, add tomato paste, finely chopped carrots and celery to the contents of the pan and continue to simmer for about 15 minutes. Take a pot (or several pots), put in it all the contents of the pan, then - tomatoes in their own juice and washed lentils. Pour chicken broth over everything, close the lid and put the pot in the oven for an hour (oven temperature - 180 degrees). Exactly according to the same recipe, lentils with meat can be cooked in a slow cooker. First, you also need to fry the meat with vegetables in the "frying" mode, and then add the tomatoes, lentils, pour the broth over everything and set the stewing mode for one hour.

How to cook lentil porridge with meat

You will need:

- two glasses of lentils;

- 100 grams of bacon;

- four beef sausages;

- a tablespoon of oil;

- one onion;

- two cloves of garlic;

- two bay leaves;

- three glasses of broth (meat);

- four tomatoes;

- greens (to taste);

- salt.

Preheat a high-rim skillet, pour oil over it, and fry the sausages for five minutes. Transfer the sausages to a plate and place finely chopped onions, chopped bacon and garlic in their place and sauté everything for five minutes.

Next, add lentils to this roast (after soaking it in cold water for an hour), bay leaf and fill everything with broth. As soon as the broth boils, put the sausages in the pan and simmer everything for about 30-40 minutes. After the time has passed, add chopped tomatoes to the lentils and continue simmering for another 30-40 minutes. The porridge is ready.
