    • 4 medium lemons;
    • 3 liters of water;
    • a glass of sugar;
    • honey to taste

    • 4 lemons;
    • 1 lime;
    • a glass of sugar;

    • 2 sprigs of mint;
    • a pinch of salt

Step 1

First recipe

Wash 4 medium lemons thoroughly in warm water to remove dust and dirt from the peel. Wipe the lemons dry with a paper towel, then cut them into thin slices along with the zest, remembering to remove the seeds.

Step 2

Place chopped citrus fruits at the bottom of a pre-prepared three-liter jar and add two tablespoons of sugar.

Use a wooden or plastic rolling pin to gently crush the lemons to release the juice. Leave the lemon mass for a while until the sugar is completely dissolved in it.

Meanwhile, bring 3 liters of pre-filtered water to a boil. Let the water cool slightly, and then pour it into a three-liter jar of lemon mass.

Add a glass of sugar. Gently mix the resulting drink in a jar with a wooden or plastic spoon. Cover with a lid and refrigerate for 24 hours to infuse the lemon drink.

Add a little more sugar or honey to the resulting drink, if necessary.

Alternatively, you can make a refreshing drink from lemons. Wash 4 lemons and 1 lime. Squeeze the juice from the lemons and limes. Then, on a fine grater, remove the zest from the citrus fruits.

Boil the syrup from one glass of water and sugar. When the sugar has dissolved in the water, add the lemon zest and a sprig of mint. Let the syrup steep for forty minutes and strain.

Pour the lemon and lime juice into the syrup and add a pinch of salt. Mix everything gently. Put the resulting drink in the refrigerator for cooling.

Serve in glasses or bowls, which can be garnished with lemon wedges, lime wedges, or a sprig of mint.
